- Built for rough surfaces — Magnaflux developed ZL-60D for rough machined parts: it washes off quickly and leaves less fluorescent background, so indications read cleaner on castings and forgings

Magnaflux's data sheet identifies every penetrant by Type, Method and Sensitivity Level, and the first tip in their process guide is “Check required specifications before beginning penetrant inspection.” Match all three to the callout in your procedure.
