CARTRIDGE, CHISEL, 1.8MM X 6MM LG, 35DEG
CVC- and SMC- Solder Tip Cartridges are the standard tip range for Metcal CV-5200, CV-500, MX-500, MX-5200, and MX-5200 series soldering systems.
All cartridges are available in four temperature ranges: 600 Series (nominally 330 °C), 700 Series (nominally 390 °C), 800 Series (nominally 440 °C), and 900 Series (nominally 470 °C).
The temperature series is identified by the first digit of the numerical part number; for example, 600 Series cartridges are designated CVC-/SMC-6xx, 700 Series as CVC-/SMC-7xx, 800 Series as CVC-/SMC-8xx, and 900 Series as CVC-/SMC-9xx. Metcal recommends the 700 Series for most applications.
The 600 Series is suitable for light-load or low-temperature use, while the 800 and 900 Series are intended for high-temperature, thermally demanding applications. These cartridges can be used with both leaded and lead-free solder.
