Pre-Cleaned EPA VOA Vials
40mL clear and amber Type I borosilicate vials in two finishes: 24-400 solid-top (PTFE-lined) and 24-414 open-top with PTFE/silicone septa. Available as Class 1 standard, Class 2 pre-cleaned, or Class 3 pre-cleaned & certified for trace VOC, semivolatile, mercury, and PFAS workflows.

Wide-mouth and narrow-mouth amber glass and HDPE bottles for metals, nutrients, alkalinity, and general chemistry are part of an upcoming KTEC program. Class 2 pre-cleaned and Class 3 certified configurations are planned to mirror the vial line.

Class 1, 2, & 3 — Pick the Tier Your Method Requires
Not every sample needs Class 3. But when a method specifies certified containers, sourcing the wrong tier is how false positives sneak in. Here's how the EPA cleanliness levels stack up.
Class 1
Standard
Type I borosilicate vials assembled with liner and closure, no washing treatment applied. Shipped as-supplied from the manufacturer in sealed case packaging.
- Type I borosilicate, clear or amber
- 24-400 solid-top or 24-414 open-top finish
- PP caps with PTFE or PTFE/silicone septa
Best for: Non-regulated sampling, internal QC checks, training, or methods where the lab performs its own bottle prep.
Class 2
Pre-Cleaned
Processed per EPA-recommended wash procedures: washed in laboratory-grade biodegradable, non-phosphate detergent, rinsed with ASTM Type I deionized water, oven-dried, and assembled in a contaminate-free environment.

Best for: Routine drinking water, wastewater, and groundwater work where method blanks need to come back clean without lab-side prep.
Class 3
Pre-Cleaned & Certified
Same EPA-recommended wash and assembly protocol as Class 2, plus a Certificate of Analysis from an independent laboratory verifying container cleanliness for trace and ultra-trace analysis.
