Master EPA Method 180.1: Turbidity Analysis

The complete catalog of Tungsten-lamp nephelometers, Formazin standards, and consumables required for compliant water & wastewater reporting.

Compliance Requirements for Method 180.1

EPA Method 180.1 is the gold standard for determining turbidity in drinking, ground, surface, and saline waters. It specifically requires the Nephelometric Method, measuring light scattered at a 90° angle from the incident beam.

Critical Note: To maintain compliance, your facility must use a nephelometer equipped with a tungsten-filament lamp (operating at 2200-3000K). LED-based meters are typically not compliant with 180.1 (though they may be used for ISO 7027). Samples must be analyzed within 48 hours and stored at 4C.

We have curated the products below specifically to meet these rigid parameters so you can report with confidence.
